Dear Parents and Friends,

Our children of the Bradford County Daycare will be participating in a fun-filled HOP-A-Thon to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. During the event, the Children enjoy hopping (the younger ones can jump), counting each other's hops, and feeling good about helping those with neuromuscular disease.

At this event, these children wil learn the importance of "Everybody's Different, Nobody's Perfect." Our children will receive a prize based on how much he or she raises.

All we need from you is the guidance your child needs to raise donations from family and friends. We ask that you call a few friends, neighbors or relatives and ask them to support your child by pledging a set amount per hop that he/she completes or simply ask for flat donations.(Example 5 cents per hop x 100 hops = $5.00 donation) Please not that flat donations, not pledges per hop, are prefferred. List your child's sponsors on the enclosed sponsor sheet. Have your child bring it to the center on the day indicated by his/her daycare teacher or director. Once the hops are tabulated, the teacher/director will record the number in the space provided and send the sheet home. We would appreciate your help in collecting the sponsor's money and returning it in the check form made out to MDA. Please haver your child bring the check to school in the envelope provided.

Your support enables individuals and families to look to MDA as a source of invaluable services, advice, referrals, and information. MDA services include diagnosis, follow-up care,flu shots, consultation on physical and occupational therapy, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, summer camp, support groups, and educational programs.
