Have Fun With Your Kids For Free

With the economy faltering, we are all looking for ways to save money or make our money go a lot further. This is a good thing as it helps make us a lot more creative. We really have to think outside the box and that we we often come up with real gems of ideas.

Its amazing that kids really don't need the latest and the greatest to have fun. We all know how much little kids love cardboard boxes to play in and how much they love to dressup in moms and dads clothes. One great way to keep them occupied is to collect as many cartons as you can, and keep all the boxes and packets that household grocies come in . On a rainy day when everyone is bored, you can give them to your kids and tell them that today we are going to pretend we have a shop. Once you have given them the idea and a few props they will be away. These are the days that kids remember when they are adults.

Another way to have a great day with your kids is to plan a picnic at the local park. You will need a fine day for this one. Get the kids to help you plan the menu then have a cooking day the day before when you get all the picnic food ready. If you have older kids get there imaginations going at the park by looking at other families and getting each child to make up a story about the family.

There are lot of other ways to keep kids occupied for free. Here are a couple more.

1: Have a day baking together
2: Make pictures or letters to send to Grandma and Grandad
3: Have a day camping in the backyard
4: Do face painting on each others faces
5: Go through all their clothes and toys and give some away to charity ( get kids involved in choosing what to give away)

Then if you love to be in the great outdoors why not take up biking as a family. The littlest ones can sit in a child bike trailer and the others can ride their own bikes or ride a tandem with a parent.
